The front crankshaft oil seal prevents engine oil from leaking past the crankshaft where it exits the front timing cover. Over time the original seal can harden and wear, resulting in oil leaks that can contaminate the timing belt or accessory belts. Replacing it with a genuine Nissan seal during a timing belt or front engine service helps ensure long-term reliability and an OEM-quality seal. This part supersedes 13510-10Y00, 13510-V7201 and 13510-10Y10.
